"Aw, please? I've got a great recipe I want to try." you say, trying to sound convincing.

Despite your attempts, Peter seems to figure out what you're thinking. He doesn't say a word, but you can tell.

You make the meal, the five of you eat it, but it's all just going through the motions. Something's changed here, and it can't ever be changed back.

After the meal, you say goodbye to Peter. You never meant to hurt him, but somehow, as things often do, it just happened.

You turn and leave before things have a chance to get any worse, only hoping that Peter will also remember the great time the two of you had talking, and not just that you hurt him.

Now see what you've been and gone and done? What a bummer.

No way! I would never say anything to hurt Peter!
